He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Brian Bates and Wilma Jane Bates (Pace); and his niece Shae Lauran Brackett (Bates). He is survived by: his children, Teagan Ann Abts of Sutton, NE and Dustin Brian Bates of Antlers, OK; his brothers, Bart Bates of Antlers, OK and Brent Bates (Tarah Bates) of Edmond, OK; his niece Stratton Alivia Bates of Edmond, OK; and his nephews, Brady Shannon Bates of Edmond, OK and Landon Blake Bates of Glenwood Springs, CO. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (208 NE B St, Antlers, OK 74523).
