She was predeceased by: her parents, Hommer Hammonds and Nita Hammonds (Robinson); her stepfather Clifford Rodgers; her siblings, John E. Rodgers and Delores Willock; and her pet Little.
She is survived by: her husband Hubert "Bert" Whiteside; her children, Wayne, Ann Whiteside, Marshelia "Marie", Richard "Rickey" Arnold, Dale and Leah Whiteside; her grandchildren, Stacy Whiteside, Ryan Whiteside, Lennon, Ashley Arnold, Amber Arnold, Matt Goodman, Lindsey and Kevin Bostic; her great grandchildren, Ilyana Mendez, Oliver and Emmett Bostic; and her siblings-in-law, Joleen Rodgers and Dave Willock.
