He was predeceased by : his parents, Omer Buell Boren and Francis Viola Boren (Moore); and his siblings, Luther "Luke" (Kathy Boren) and Mildred Sue Boren. He is survived by : his wife Irene Boren; his children, Roberta, Wes Lanier of Ada, OK and Pauline Boren of Oklahoma City, OK; his brothers, Robert Boren and Loyd Boren; and his granddaughter Whitney Lanier.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (208 NE B St, Antlers, OK 74523).
