He was predeceased by: his parents, Quartermaine Donica and Mary Donica; and his brothers, Thomas M. Donica and Gale Donica. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Aday; his daughters, Cindy Roberts (Martin) and Lisa Sorrells (Daniel); his granddaughters, Kori Patel (Nishant), Kaylee Epps (Max), Emily Hobbs (Tyler), Julie Sorrells and Martha Clark (RJ); his great grandchildren, Grace, Luke, Hayden, Cora and Lennox; and his siblings, Dwight Donica (Betty) and Alberta LeFlore.

“My condolences to the Donica family. I remember being in his wood work class. He caught me with a dip of Skoal in my mouth. He made clear that if you were caught with a dip in your mouth you had to get a few licks. Well I got caught and I remember that like it was yesterday. Even it's been maybe fifty years. But I do know that he was a great teacher. And I had a lot of respect for him. And yes he will be sorley missed. May he RIH. Ronnie Benford.”
