He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Beatrice and Mary; his wife Dolores (Dee Ann) Whitehead (Chesney); his daughter Shannon Freeman (Whitehead); and his friends, Rowdy, Flash and Boo.

He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Whitehead (Michele); his grandchildren, Nick, Josh, Pheona and Tyler Freeman (Sabrina); his great grandchildren, Carson and Arlo; and his siblings, Jimmie Louise Shields and Thomas Edward Whitehead. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
