He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Houston Stephens and Lois Stephens (Tyler); and his siblings, Marguerite Benson, Ernie Stephens and Gene Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife LaJoy Stephens; his children, Robert "Bob" Stephens and Terri Lewis (Jeff); and his stepchildren, Thomas Parrott (Evelyn), Terry Parrott (Dorrie) and Charla Sanders. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
