He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Harrell Byers and Allie Gwendolyn "Gwen" Byers (Cavner); his wife Pamela Kay Knight; his son Mickey Byers; and his siblings, Wayne, Luther, Kenneth, Eldon, David, Pete, Dorothy, Cathy, Carolyn and Marilyn.

He is survived by : his sons, Denny Byers (Terra) and Jerry Byers; his nephew Steve Byers; his grandchildren, Connor, Emma, Cris, Dakota, Austin Byers and Lindsey Valasquez (Corey); and his great grandchildren, Ethan Byers, Coby Horton and Skyler Valasquez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (1610 C St, Ardmore, OK 73401).
