Dolphus Genn Obituary

Dolphus Genn was born August 8, 1937, to Toy Richardson Genn and Lydia (Shepperd) in Oswalt, OK. He passed from this life on March 1, 2022, at the age of 84.

Dolphus was raised in the Springer area. He graduated high school from in the Woodford, class of 1956. He married Claudette Crabtree on July 14, 1956, in Hennepin, OK. From this marriage they had 4 children, Kerry, Kay, Ron, and Dolph.

He worked many years for Exxon Oil Co. in Australia. He also raised cattle and worked for OG&E securing right of ways.

Dolphus loved to fish, play golf and keep his yard like a golf course.

Dolphus was preceded in death by his parents, Toy and Lydia Genn; wife, Claudette, brothers Carl, Clyde, Arlanda, and Hollis Genn; and sister Oleta Anderson.

He is survived by his daughters, Kerry Carrasco and her husband, Jimmy and Kay Bridgman and her husband, Shawn; sons, Ron Genn and Dolph Genn and his wife, Sonna; brother Clayton Genn; sisters Leona Teeter and Gwenda Bishop; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Genn and grandson Tommy Berridge officiating. Interment will follow at Woodford Cemetery.
