He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant Wright and Martha Scott (Stevenson); his stepmother Corine Wright; his wife Ethelean Wright (Prince); his children, Johnnie Ray and Karen Denise; and his siblings, Charles Williams, Leon Williams, Billy Joe Scott, James Willie Scott, Charlene Richardson, Emma Prince, Laura Faye Jones and Author Rolinson.

He is survived by: his children, William Wright, Bettina Wright, Sharan Wright, Pearl Marshall and Jackie Roberts; his sister Rosetta McKenzie; his siblings-in-law, Sherion Williams and Park Prince Sr. (Margie); and his grandson Clifton Wright. He is also survived by 13 grandkids.
