Mary Winifred Talkington Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Winifred Talkington in Ardmore, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Alford and Gussie Alford (Chapman); her husband Bill Talkington; her brother J. R. Alford; and her grandson Jared Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Smith (Lonnie), Laurie Ghassemi, Karin Mathis (Rocky) and Kailee Page (Jacob); her grandchildren, Michael Smith, Vanessa Smith, Jason Blain, Layla, George Hudson, Sara Ghassemi, Matt Ghassemi, Justin, Torri Mathis, Jordan Mathis, Samantha Schmeltzer, Rachel Page and Devan Vinson; her great grandchildren, MaKayla Smith, Gracie Smith, Hunter Smith, Harlee Smith, Brayden Smith, Katelyn Smith and Keaveon Lofton; her great great grandchild Kaprice Lofton; and her sister Virginia Marris. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her church family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (1610 C St, Ardmore, OK 73401). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Provence Cemetery (661 Provence Rd, Ardmore, OK 73401).
