Sandra "Dee" Knudsen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dee Knudsen (Ardmore, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 5th 2019.
Dee was born on July 11, 1964 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Carol Garretson and Sandra Jo Garretson. She married her soul mate, Clayton, on January 4, 1991. In their 28 years together, Dee loved her husband and her children with an all-encompassing, agape love, and she put her all into her marriage and her family.
Dee wore many hats throughout her lifetime. She was a baker, a lab technician, and a truck driver. She found her true calling in 1999 when she received her nursing degree from the Baptist School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas. She went on to become a hospice nurse, a career she dearly loved, until her retirement in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Carol Garretson, and her precious daughter, Stephanie Ami Knudsen. Dee is survived by her loving husband, Clayton, their children, Landon “Gage” and Lauren “Cassidy” Knudsen, her mother, Sandra Jo Garretson, her siblings, Renni Burt of Fort Worth, Texas, Billy Garretson II of Garland, Texas, and James Garretson of Ringling, Okla., as well her uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins.
