He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mowbray and Leona Mowbray (Swenson); and his siblings, Cleo, Floyd and Cleta Schneider.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Clarke of Ardmore; his daughters, Lisa Nowell (Mark), Lori Deere (John) and Tara Mowbray (Robert Sutphin); his grandchildren, Evan, Katie Deere, Grayson Deere, Blythe Nowell and Jentry Nowell; and his sister Erma Mowbray.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Youth Force Program or to the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
