He is survived by: his children, James Bell and Dana Bell Byars; his grandsons, Casey and Sam Breckenridge; and his great grandchild Lennox Breckenridge.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (4200 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any Alzheimer's research organization in Watie's memory.
