With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Louise Ross in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 30, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kertha Roberson and Mozella Roberson; her husband John Vernon Ross; her siblings, Ethel V. Waddell, Kertha Roberson (Buddy), Mozella Solomon (Joy) and Vivian Walker (Doll); her nephew Ralph Roberson (Sonny); and her grandson Vernon Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Vivian Elise (Roy Willis Jr) and Vernon Lawrence (Zenobia); her brother Dr Philip Roberson (Norma); her nieces, Georgia Woodland (Paul) and Dorris Ennett (Alfred); her grandchildren, Terri Denman, Cherrica McKinney (C. J.) and Camitra Jordan; her great grandchildren, Cyndi Wright, Christopher Hardeman, Kiera Smith, Reginald Carter, Tyla Combs, Alexus Dizer, Rihanna Jackson and Naomi Webley; and her great great grandchildren, Juliano Jackson, Cyanne Wright, Caelyn Wright, Calleah Wright, Brayden Hardeman, Korbin Hardeman, JaKeya Jackson, JaKira Jackson, Andrea Smith, Andreonna Smith, Deondrae Smith, Keondrae Smith, Kordell Carter and Elijah Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Carol Ross Memorial Scholarship Fund, as she was a strong advocate for continuing education and opportunities for women of color.
