He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Caleb and Lily Mae Hale (Mason); his spouse Joella Faye Niswonger (Jo); and his siblings, Charles Hale, Opal Caffey, Daisy Gofourth and Charlotte Thaxton.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Hale (Leslie), Cindy Still (Steve) and Scott Hale (Barbara); his grandchildren, Chris, Kerry, Aaron, Sara, Travis, Matthew, Zachary and Laura; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Elizabeth, Avery, Kai, Asher, Austin, Landree, Lucy, Owen, Mason, Daisy and Charlotte. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
