She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold James DeCou and Margaret Ramsay; her siblings, Jimmy Lee DeCou and Bonnie Jean Simpson; and her son Larry Scott Owens.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred Otto; her sister Connie Lee Carroll; her children, Bonnie Lee Owens, Donna Jean Swinney and Chris Owens; and her grandchildren, Peggy Keylon, Barbara Henderson, Rebecca Thomas, Debra Thomas, Jeannie Lynes, Bradley McGaugh, Michael Owens and Mason Owens. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
