She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Cole and Anna Hicks; and her sisters, Bessie Cochran, Dorothy Lowe, Donna Bryant and Bonnie Purtle.

She is survived by: her husband Bill Brockman; her brother Jim Cole; and her children, Sharon Tennant, Beverly Black and Gary Brockman. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
