He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe William Griggs, Sr. and Pearl June Griggs (Hall); his daughter Crystal Young; his siblings, Mike Eugene Digney, Freddie Griggs and Alta Griggs (Bond); and his granddaughter Sara Marsh.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Griggs; his children, George Griggs (Heather) of Bartlesville, Lilly McChesney (Jeff) of Bartlesville and Kelly Leeson of Louisiana, One; his brother Robert Griggs of Bartlesville; and his grandchildren, Samilee Dobbs, Leslie Griggs, Mirriam Chyuka Griggs, Chastity Leeson, Brittanie Marsh, Addy, Aubri Hawk, Walker Griggs, William Leeson and Ryan McChesney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
