He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Phillips and Bulah Phillips (Legate); his former wife Nikki Phillips (Cowel); his wife Kathy Phillips (Harris); and his siblings, Ron Phillips, Virginia Maddux and Billye Fairfield.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Allissa Notley and Macie English; and his children, James Phillips (Kim) of Yukon, Matt Phillips of Broken Arrow, Jason Epperson (Sammy) of Dewey and Sunny English of Bartlesville.
The couple was breeders of Foundation Quarter Horses and were very proud that their two granddaughters: Allissa Notley and Macie English, helped show the horses.
