He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Monroe Gagan and Mildred Cranor Gagan; his wife Patsy Gagan; his son J. T.; and his stepson Rusty.
He is survived by: his son Walter Gagan (Laura); his granddaughters, Susannah Louise Gagan and Dorothy Rose Gagan; and his stepchildren, Rebecca Kidwell, Bobby Shadwick, Robbie James and Rochelle Duerkson. He is also survived by two brothers; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
