He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Lloyd Carlson (Doc); his grandparents, Glenn, Betty Nagel, Lloyd and Myra Carlson; his aunt Alice Marie Phillips; and his uncle Dr. Randall Pedersen.

He is survived by: his mother Barbara Jean Nagel Carlson of Bartlesville; his wife Hollie Carlson; his son Kody Carlson; his stepsons, Conner and Cameron Schollenbarger; his siblings, Bret Carlson (Lynne) of Choctaw, OK and Tami Brinkman (Koby) of Bartlesville; his sisters-in-law, Angela (Randy Santos) and Patricia (Stan Fouts); his parents-in-law, Nelson and Nancy Simpson; his nieces and nephews, Taylor White, Tessa White, Jessica Estes, Andrea Ellis, Haze Carlson (Stacia), Dace Carlson, Jake Telford, Tyler Telford and Andrew Fouts (Kaci); and his aunts and uncles, Nancy Pedersen, John (Barbara Nagel), Noralee (Bob Matousek) and Karen (John Nusser).
