He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack McCoy and Doretha McCoy; his sister Linda Bachman; and his niece Christina Bachman. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dayna Sue McCoy; his son Matthew David McCoy; his daughter-in-law Laurie Ann McCoy; his daughter Krista Kay Grinstead; his son-in-law Silas Carl Grinstead IV; his grandchildren, Silas Carl Grinstead V (Emily Grinstead), Daegan Wren McCoy, Samuel Grinstead, Dylan Mikel McCoy and Kadrianna Samantha Grinstead; his great grandchild Lyla May Grinstead; and his brother-in-law Leonard Bachman.
