She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Woodrow Beghtel; and her father-in-law Charles Stanton. She is survived by: her mother Lida Lee Beghtel-May (Harlan); her husband James Brian Stanton; and her cousins, George Bairinson, Beth Stoll, Katie Suarez, Jason Pearson, Jennifer and Sam Stanton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Park Foundation.
