It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Helen Buttman of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, born in Kingsville, Texas, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Mary Helen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Helen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Faith Young (Lagrone) and William Maurice Young; her brothers, Don and Chet Grossman; and her husband Gary Lee Buttman.

She is survived by: her son Wesley Craig Buttman of Bartlesville; her sister Elizabeth Johnson (Neil) of Virginia; and her close friend Whitney McKisson (Kenny) of Bartlesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to establish memorials at Disciples Christian Church and The Journey Home.
