The memory of Sylvia Adabell Honts (Bartlesville, Oklahoma), who passed away on June 28, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester "Blocky" Clapp and Capitola Clapp (Sears); her siblings, Sam Clapp and Sarah Ann Simmons; and her siblings-in-law, Billy W. Simmons, Bill D. Collins, Kristi Clapp, Betty Clapp and Dona Clapp.
She is survived by: her significant other Loyd R. Honts; her children, Curtis D. Honts (Toni) of Chapmansboro, TN, Arlen K. Honts (Stacy) of Wichita, KS and Diane R. Nicholas (David) of Mansfield, TX; her siblings, Carl W. Clapp of Barnsdall, OK, Dewey W. Clapp of Stillwater, OK, Connie C. Collins of Sand Springs, OK and Donna Kay Clapp of Bartlesville, OK; her grandchildren, Anna Laura Honts of Wichita, KS, Benjamin L. Nicholas (Alissa) of Arlington, TX, Lincoln R. Honts of Birmingham, AL, Camille W. Mason (Walker) of Birmingham, AL, Emma R. Baumgartner (Mitchell) and Asia (Colin M. Honts); and her great grandchildren, Thaddaeus Baumgartner, Hadassah Baumgartner and Briella Nicholas. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren, parents and siblings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home (710 Dewey Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003). A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bartlesville First Baptist Church (405 S Cherokee Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003).
After time away from the workforce to raise her children, she then worked as records secretary for First Baptist Church for 11 years and as a bookkeeper for The Frank Phillips Foundation at Woolaroc for 14 years.
