He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Schmidt and Kataryna Schmidt (Lehner); his wife Thelma Schmidt; his siblings, Rookie, John, Fred, Mike, Mary, Rose Teresa and Ann; and his great grandchild Beckett Hope Boerio.
He is survived by: his children, Dan (Cathie Schmidt), Paul (Debbie Schmidt), Anna (Schmidt), Sam Coan, Joe (Sarah Schmidt) and John (Peggy Schmidt). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home (710 Dewey Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Catholic Church (715 S Johnstone Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003).
