He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Lee Lael and Beulah Rae Lael (Sullins); and his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Lael and Sue Palmer. He is survived by: his sons, Brad Lael, Chris Lael (Kristie) and Ryan Lael (Janice); his grandchildren, Brittnee Lael (Shane), Chris Lael, Jr. (Brittani), Melanie Lael, Ethan Lael, Tommie Jo Lael, Chloe Lael, Autumn Lael and Grace Lael; his great grandchildren, Jak Lael and Kyrie Lael; and his half-brother Keith Lael (Carl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of Beardstown (202 E 8th St, Beardstown, IL 62618). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Black Oak Church.
