He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Johns and Opal Johns (Bumgardner). He is survived by: his wife Nancy D. Johns (Proctor); his children, Shannon, Justine Cranford (Sean) and Arthur; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Nichelle (Jesse), Jaron (Lindsey), James, Dontae (Tiffanie), Octavius, Candence and Walter. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
