He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Baergen-Nickel and Kathryn Baergen-Nickel; his former wife Mary Nickel; and his siblings, Elmer, Laverne and Viola.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Janzen; his children, Mark Nickel, Cheryl Nickel and Jennifer Nickel-Ulmer; his grandchildren, Kathy Nickel-Russel, Harley Nickel, Amber Ulmer and PJ Ulmer; his great grandchild Heather Russel; his children-in-law, Christina Thompson-Nickel and James Ulmer; his grandchildren-in-law, Haley Gebeaur-Ulmer and Sean Russel; and his brothers, Richard and Glenn.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Service (3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene (6789 NW 39th Expy, Bethany, OK 73008).
