He was predeceased by: his parents, James Peter Ashurst and Agnes Chester Ashurst; his sister Joyce Ashurst; and his wife Ann Stamp Ashurst. He is survived by: his sister Betty Madden; his daughter Bernadette Powers; his grandson Joseph Ashurst (Lori); his daughter Ann Marie Leonard (David); his grandson Mark Ashurst (Ellen); and his sons, Peter Ashurst (Brian) and Paul Ashurst.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery (7500 W Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132).
