It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Jake Nelson (Bethany, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Nelson and Minnie Nelson; his parents-in-law, Ruby and W. O. Kendall; and his siblings, Elmer Nelson, Freddie Nelson, Geraldine Headley and Madeline Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Alta Kendall; his children, David Nelson (Pam) and Tammy Conaughty (Mike); his grandsons, Zachary Nelson and Nicholas Nelson; his great grandchild Madeline Nelson; and his caregivers, Trish and Tina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
