We announce the death of Roberta May Smith (Bethany, Oklahoma), who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 91. Roberta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Clanton and Jessie Clanton; her husband J. R. Smith; her children, Janet Smith, Debbie Linn and Jim Smith; her grandson Eric Crawford; and her brother Doyle Dingman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Benjamin Crawford, Tawny Benson, Tosha Mittlestadt, Christopher Smith and Timothy Smith; her great-grands, Hope, Kiana Colwell, Lucas Mittlestadt, Gideon, Eleanor Benson and Ava Crawford; and her brother Walter Clanton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Home (3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008-3329). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mercer-Adams Chapel (3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008-3329).
