He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shelby Savage and Betty Lucile Savage. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Marsh Savage; his children, Dana Kaye Dawson (Matt) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Jason Joel Savage (Carrie) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his brothers, William Savage (Debbie Kay) of Denver, Clifford Armstrong (Gretchen) of Seattle, Washington. and William Armstrong of Seattle, Washington.; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Alexander (Andy), Taylor Reininger, Chloe Lynn Dawson, Holland Savage, Hudson Savage, Sidney Savage and Walker Savage.

He died peacefully at home on October 2, 2022 after a valiant struggle with Parkinson's disease.
