He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Homb and Sophie Homb (Ganshirt); and his brothers, Robert, Vernon, Raymond and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth (Komprood), Grace and Roger; his cousin Virginia "Ginny" Mayer; his children, David, Christie Rooney (Joe) and Nancy Homb (Kevin Crawford); his grandson Jeffrey Rooney (Ella); his great grandchildren, Liam and Nora; his close friend Bob O'Dell (Mary); his children, Alejandro, Vanessa and Isael; Judith Benites.
His technical acumen and unwavering work ethic made significant contributions to the nation's space exploration efforts, including working on all six space shuttles.
