He is survived by : his children, Amber Dawn Armstrong (Dane) and James W. Brooks, Jr.; his siblings, Gracie Lemons, Wilma Woods, Bea Brown, Betty Richardson and Troy Brooks; and his grandchildren, Colton, Dever, Chloe, Emily and Allison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws.
