He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Wood and Ida Wood (Yager); his child Willie; his wife Linda (Stafford); his children, Brian Wood (Shanon) of Pawhuska, William Wood (Jami) of Blackwell and Amberly Greenwood (Joe) of Blackwell; and his sister Linda McDonald of Missouri. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and their spouses and 37 great grandchildren.
