He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy H. Hawks and Johnnie Pauline Ross; and his siblings, Jalaine Gallion, Jimmy Dewayne Hawks and John Hawks.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Marie Short; his sons, Javan (Christina) of Newcastle and Jason (Lisa); his grandchildren, Arielle Hefley Garcia (Brandon), Austin Hefley, Jordan Hefley, Jadyn Hefley, Jenna Sneed, Mia and Mya Hefley; his great grandchildren, Jasper Garcia, Emma Garcia and Aiden Garcia; and his aunt Latrelle Ross Massey of Portales. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
