He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carroll Cornett and Mahala Jane Cornett (Foster); and his siblings, Ben Cornett and Carol Proske. He is survived by: his wife Carol Cornett; his children, Leesa Shelton (Mike) of Blanchard and Dr. Alan Cornett (Jennifer) of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Brad Shelton (Makenzie), Blake Shelton (Katy), Kenzie Cornett and Greyson Cornett; his stepgrandson Andrew Shelton (Lara); and his great grandchildren, Theo, Zeke, Luke and Shelton.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodland Hills Baptist Church (313 Oklahoma 76, Newcastle, OK 73065).
