He was predeceased by : his parents, Pearl Griffin (Pendley) and John Griffin; his wife Robin Griffin; his sons, Tommy and Steven Griffin; and his sister Patricia Grace Humphries.

He is survived by : his children, Gary Joe Griffin, Karon Griffin, Turene Ross and Stephanie Griffin; his grandchildren, Hunter Martin, Autumn Ross, Micah Ross, Lincoln Ross, Melissa Griffin Frye and Kaite Griffin; his great grandchildren, Aries Martin, Emily Frye, Ally Frye and Jack Griffin Frye; his grandson Jimmy Griffin (Barbara); his sister Karen Sue Brown; and his daughter-in-law Mary Espinosa.
