He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Simpson Welchel and Lillie Melissa Welchel (Parker); and his sisters, Maybelle, Gertrude and Imogene.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy (Dewbre); his children, Roy Welchel (Toni) of Cole, Ronnie Welchel (Nora) of Blanchard and Carolyn "Toodie" Daniel (Donnie) of Oklahoma City; and his grandchildren, Angie, Kristy, Chad, Raquel "Rocky" and Jeremy. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
