She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel W. Jernigan and Myrtle Mae Jernigan (Snyder); her spouse Lee McCoy; her siblings, Gladys Lorenz and Robert Jernigan; and her niece Janiell Jernigan.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Peggy Jernigan; and her nephews, Dennis Jernigan (Melinda), Paul Jernigan (Sandy), Bob Jernigan and Sam Jernigan (Leslea). She is also survived by 16 great nieces and nephews; and 24 great-great nieces and nephews.
