We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2025, at the age of 91, Jerry Frederick Metzger in Braggs, Oklahoma, born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gottlieb Metzger and Rilla Mae Hayes; his wife Bertie Faye Jones; and his sisters, Jane and Sally.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Goodnight (Phillip), Jerry L Metzger (Cindy) and Toby Metzger (Sheila); his grandchildren, Eric Goodnight (Jessica), Patrick Goodnight (Brittany), Ryan Metzger (Margaret), Travis Metzger (Rachel), Hayden Metzger, Alex Boyer, Hannah Mann (Derrek), Wyatt Metzger, Hannah Hughes (Jacob) and Jerry C Metzger (Cessna); his great grandchildren, Isiah, Haley, Jacee, Arabella, Kahlan, Evelyn, Tanner, Ethan, Bode and Augustus; and his friend Ginny Utsler.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crescent Valley Baptist Church (25641 S Cresent Valley Rd, Tahlequah, OK 74464).
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations were made to the Gideons International, PO Box 204, Muskogee, OK 74402.
