He was predeceased by: his father Billy Moyer. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Moyer; his wife Nancy Short; his children, Caleb Short (Kelsey) and Sara Short; his stepchildren, Davin Groom, Darin Groom (Miranda), Kyndel Waters (Drew) and Megan McGovern (Harry); his grandchildren, Caleb Short, Azari Musa, Maliyah Musa, Conner Waters, Kaitlyn Waters, Keira Groom, Kadance Groom, Callie McGovern and Capri McGovern; and his siblings, Mike Short, Pam Short Smith and Lisa Short Garcia. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

While often this quote refers to Alzheimer's disease, it very much reflects the loss with ALS.
