He was predeceased by : his parents, Marsh "Pid" McGuire and Jessie McGuire; his daughter Karla Sheram; and his siblings, Charlene Pagan and Hubert McGuire.
He is survived by : his wife Barbara Duke; his children, Steve McGuire (Fawnda), Karen McSpadden (David), Kathy Williams (Albert) and Kim Dykens (Tim); his brother Kenny McGuire (Barbara Sue); and his sister-in-law Waynetta McGuire. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
