She was predeceased by: her parents, James Barnett and Lizzie Barnett; her husband Newman Taryole; her grandchildren, Carrie Annie Taryole, C. J. West and Jason Cook; her son-in-law Carl West; and her niece Thomasena Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Newman Jr. Lydia (Laura), Barbara West, Natalie Hogner (Joe), Norman "Bungie" Taryole (Donna), Thomas Barnett and Tyrone Barnett. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great‑grandchildren, and two nephews she loved.
