He was predeceased by : his parents, Gus Beard and Vergia Beard; and his siblings, Bob, Bill Beard and Shirley Klaus.

He is survived by : his wife Margaret Beard (Margie); his sons, Philip Beard (Kim) and Shawn Beard (Bridget); and his grandchildren, Kayla Beard (Corey French), Allyson Sisk (Kyle), Elliot Beard (Malachi Chronister), Noah Beard, Ethan Beard, Asher Beard, Macy Beard and Ellery Beard.

Viewing was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home (119 N Chestnut St, Bristow, OK 74010). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (226 E 6th Ave, Bristow, OK 74010).
