She was predeceased by: her parents, Othel Orbie Whomble and Mildred June Whomble (Whitaker); her husband Vernon Lawson Jr.; her daughter Kathleen Gibson; and her grandsons, Zachary Palmer and Joshua Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Palmer (Mark), Thomas Lawson (Julie) and Patrick Lawson (Susan); and her siblings, Danny Whomble and Sandra Whomble. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter; along with other family members and friends.
