He was predeceased by: his children, Elmer Ray, Roger and Margaret Penfield; and his great grandchild Hunter Penfield. He is survived by: his wife Margarette Van Ness; his sons, Jerry, Elbert and Gary Van Ness; and his stepchildren, Stan Smith, Debby Shipman, Janice Breeding, Randy Smith and Rhonda Stilwell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
