He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W. Allen and Jean Allen (Parker); and his sister Sharon Smittle. He is survived by: his wife Jan Allen; his sons, Kirk Allen (Acuario) and Ross Allen (Jenny); his nephews, Carl Smittle and Jimmy Penuel; and his niece Kelli Schmidt.
Following this time in his life, he had become an advocate for organ donation and volunteered for LifeShare when he had the opportunity.
