He was predeceased by: his father David Wesley Bates; and his grandparents, John, Betty Redding, Bob and Wanda Bates.
He is survived by: his daughter Lilah Bates; his mother Kathryn "Suzy" Gammill; his stepfather Jerry Gammill; and his sister Grace Gammill (Jared Griffith). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Floral Haven Rose Chapel (6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012).
